Digantara is building the world's first maps for space, a revolutionary end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable space operations, offering a comprehensive space situational awareness solution that simplifies and strengthens satellite operations amid rapidly expanding commercialization of space.
Digantara is looking for a Junior Legal Associate to provide assistance with day-to-day legal and regulatory compliances. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Digantara's business from a legal and regulatory perspective.

Responsibilities - Prepare documentation for corporate and regulatory compliance on a case-by-case basis.
- Monitor the status of legal and regulatory compliance, including any statutory filings and returns.
- Interface with external consultants for compliance (including corporate, secretarial, and labour-related compliance), at regular intervals.
- Provide assistance in the review of in-house strategies for IP protection and data protection and privacy laws.
- Assist the team with legal due diligence support as a part of the fundraising processes.
- Conduct extensive legal research on topics related to the business and operations of Digantara, as may be required from time to time.
- Provide assistance in the drafting and review of contracts, including service agreements and NDAs.
- Contribution to reviewing and/or drafting in-house legal and policy documentation.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in law from a reputed university in India.
- 0 – 1 years of experience as a legal professional in India.
- Experience with conducting legal due diligence as a part of fund-raising processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to critically analyse legal issues.
- Basic understanding of company law in India.
- Well-acquainted with corporate and secretarial compliances under Indian laws.
Preferred Qualifications - Keen interest in, and knowledge of, the space industry.
- Basic understanding of international space law and policy.
- Demonstrated experience in contract review and contract drafting.
General Requirements - Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Ability to think critically and make independent decisions.
- Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Ability to draft and execute basic legal documentation.

- Travel occasionally as necessary.
Location: On-site at Bengaluru
Please note that we work six days a week, with holidays on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month.
