Job description

We're looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our WiZ Connected Team in Bangalore, India

What You'll Do

  • Provide support to the day-to-day IoT Cloud operations
  • Test and optimize the current infrastructure for reliability, performance and costs
  • Participate in the team's on-call routine to ensure the 7 x 24 round-the-clock services runs smoothly, monitor Cloud health status and resolve any outages
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to understand and implement new services to the Cloud and update existing services
  • Support internal users for issues investigation and logs digging
  • Maintain and improve high standards for security practices
  • Assess potential risks for all changes and maintain high availability within the environment

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering Equivalent
  • At least 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure and Cloud Administration
  • Experience with public cloud (AWS) based application management experience
  • Clear understanding of coding and scripting with languages e.g. Python, Bash
  • Intermediate knowledge in Linux, Docker and databases, both SQL (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (Redis)
  • Familiar with MQTT protocol, message brokers, and stream processing software knowledge is a plus (Apache Kafka)
  • Knowledge of Zabbix monitoring and setup, AWS CloudWatch
  • Able to work with IaS management tools: AWS CloudFormation, CDK, as well as with configuration management tools like Ansible
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  • Responsible, work independently with initiative, a team player
