Job description
Analyze product designs to determine their suitability for molding and manufacturing processes.
Independently create concept designs and injection mold designs using software tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, or UGNX.
Conduct prototype part development and perform product testing according to various industry standards.
Demonstrate expertise in working with a variety of plastic materials, including PA6, PA66, PBT, PP, ABS, and others.
Proficiently apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and 2D drafting in mold designs.
Implement poke-yoke (error-proofing) strategies during the design stage to enhance product quality and manufacturability.
Apply knowledge of IATF (International Automotive Task Force) standards and participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
Utilize experience in connector mold design, if applicable, as an added advantage.
Possess proficiency in software tools such as Creo and NX.
