Job description
Job Title: Senior Support Engineer (Information Technology & Communications)
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Design, develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
- Identify, analyse, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Define, plan, implement, maintain, and upgrade security measures, policies, and controls.
- Write reports and provide insights on the efficacy of the current security policies, incident responses, disaster recovery plans, and other security-related information.
- Ensure efficient function of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Create procedures for employees and train them in security awareness.
- Maintains, secure and upgrade a web system and ERP systems.
- Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Information systems or information technology.
- Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Patient and professional demeanour, with a can-do attitude.
- Microsoft, AWS, and other training certifications may be advantageous.
