Job Summary:

Natch Snacks Pvt. Ltd., a leading all-natural snack food company based in Mumbai, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, recording financial transactions accurately, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role involves handling invoicing, bank entries, customer and vendor payments, expense tracking, and statutory filings.

Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day/Weekly Tasks: Record invoices accurately and maintain a systematic filing system. Record bank entries in books and reconcile accounts regularly. Record payments received from customers through Razorpay & Paytm, accounting for their commission simultaneously. Record customer payments received by cheque/NEFT against invoices as per payment advice. Process vendor payments and ensure timely settlement of bills. Book and pay expenses, maintaining a detailed summary in Excel for TDS purposes. Check the applicability of TDS on expenses and record them accordingly. Keep a record of received cheques not yet deposited during the month. Generate and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging reports, follow up on outstanding payments, and send reminder emails. Record import invoices, IGST, custom duty, handling charges, and agency charges accurately. Raise credit notes against invoices for returned, expired, or damaged goods and update the Returns (RTV) sheet.

Monthly Tasks: Prepare Amazon invoices for the month, record payments received, and reconcile the commission balance. Statutory Payments & Returns: Ensure timely payment of TDS before the 7th of every month. File TDS returns quarterly. Process PTRC payment before the end of each month (since 1st year). File GSTR-1/IFF before the 11th of every month based on the sales report generated for MIS. File GSTR-3B quarterly after the payment of RCM liability, if any. Reconcile ITC as per GSTR-2B and maintain alignment with books.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the FMCG industry. In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation, TDS, GST, and statutory compliance. Familiarity with Razorpay, Paytm, and Amazon payment systems. Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
