This role is available on the Oracle Visual Builder Studio Cloud Service. We are addressing exciting challenges at the intersection of data, tools and cutting-edge infrastructure. Oracle Visual Builder is a cloud-based software development Platform as a Service (PaaS) and a hosted environment for your application development infrastructure. It provides an open-source standards-based solution to develop, collaborate on, and deploy applications within Oracle Cloud.
As a part of our team, you will design and deliver a high-quality cloud service with the capabilities, scalability and performance needed to match the needs of enterprise teams and enterprise application development teams. You will need experience with designing and developing software solutions - solving real-world business problems.
What You'll Do
1. Automating release and deployment process from development environment right up to production.
2. Building Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery capabilities using standard DevOps toolset
3. Developing, enforcing and maintaining processes for build promotion and demotion between development, test and production environments:
4. Take ownership of maintaining and managing the environments. Maintain separation between Dev, UAT, stage and production environments.
5. Bringing in the right 'DevOps/SRE' mindset among the teams developing software , which would mean conducting, training on tools and processes that makes software development and testing easier.
6. Support Cloud Operations Team in monitoring and maintaining the production infrastructure
7. Drive increased maturity on the cloud DevOps/SREcapabilities including advanced CI/CD and metrics
8. Build cloud service on top of the modern Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) building blocks at OCI
9. Participate in the entire software lifecycle - development, testing, CI and production operations
10. Develop new features for the platform in a variety of classical and accelerated frameworks
11. Work with customers and ISVs to troubleshoot in production systems.
12. Design, Develop and Document robust software components
13. Mentor new employees and software developers to increase quality of projects performed by junior engineers
14. Participate in on-call for the service with the team
Basic Qualifications
1. 5-8+ years of professional work experience
2. DevOps Experience/Familiarity: Containerization, Linux/UNIX Shell, package management etc
4. B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or software relevant field, CS, EE etc
Technical Qualification
1. Experience deploying code to private or public or hybrid cloud environments
2.Hands on experience working with standard DevOps/SRE tools
3. Bug tracking tools like JIRA or equivalent
4. Source control tools like Git, GitHub, SVN or equivalent
5. Network configuration and management
6. Knowledge of middleware components like Weblogic or Tomcat
7. Very strong experience developing automation
8. Shell, Perl, Python (anyone)
9. Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
10.Knowledge about Linux system and Linux administration
11. Monitoring technologies (Enterprise Manager, Thousand Eyes, Prometheus)
12. Familiar with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, etc.
13. Familiar with production operations and good practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise
14. Production experience with Cloud technologies
15. DevOps Experience/Familiarity: Containerization (Dockerizing python), Linux/UNIX Shell, package management etc
16. Strong verbal and written communication skills
17. Cloud Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure is highly desirable
18.Logging and Monitoring technologies
