About the role -
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their growing team and play a key role in developing and deploying machine learning models to support our GreyMatter platform. You will possess deep expertise in data science methodologies, machine learning, and natural language processing, and you will have a proven track record of successfully training and deploying models, in particular large language models (LLMs), to production. You will also be able to effectively communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data science projects from conception to completion
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning and natural language processing models
- Train and deploy models to production
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay up-to-date on the latest data science trends and technologies
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists
Qualifications:
- Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc) - Master's degree or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of experience working in data science
- Proven experience training and deploying machine learning models to production
- Experience training and deploying large language models (LLMs)
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in a product focused role (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
