As an Assistant Manager in Biomedical Engineering, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of biomedical equipment and systems within a healthcare facility
You will collaborate with a team of biomedical engineers, technicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure the effective and safe operation of medical devices and technologies
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the biomedical engineering department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of biomedical equipment, working closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical devices and equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and adherence to safety standards
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for biomedical equipment, establishing schedules and protocols for routine inspections and servicing
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide technical support and assistance in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues
Monitor and evaluate the performance and utilization of biomedical equipment, analyzing data and identifying opportunities for improvement and cost-effectiveness
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as equipment certifications, safety standards, and infection control protocols
Develop and maintain documentation, including equipment inventories, maintenance records, service reports, and incident investigations
Stay updated with advancements in biomedical technology, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements
