Job description

• 1. Reviewing and editing all types of content for accuracy, clarity, and style

• 2. Establishing relationships with writers, editors, and freelancers who will contribute to the publication

• 3. Conducting research on topics related to the publication s focus in order to create new content

• 4. Working with designers to create layouts that meet publication standards while ensuring that text is legible and graphics are clear and attractive

• 5. Managing a team of editors who are responsible for reviewing and editing content submitted by freelance writers or staff members

• 6. Reviewing and approving all advertisements that will appear in the publication

• 7. Reviewing and selecting stories submitted by freelance writers for possible publication in the publication

• 8. Managing the publication s budget, including expenditures for staff salaries, freelance fees, and other costs associated with producing an issue

• 9. Ensuring that the publication meets industry standards for legal issues such as copyright laws or libel laws
