Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Chemistry Professor to join the Department of Science and Humanity at JKKN College of Engineering and Technology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing the college's vision of becoming a leading global innovator in the field of engineering and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Chemistry
- Develop and maintain an active research program in Chemistry
- Mentor and advise students in the department
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the college to develop interdisciplinary programs and initiatives
- Participate in college-wide committees and initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and college-wide policies and procedures
- Engage in professional development activities to remain current in the field
Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry or a related field such as Materials Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or Physical Chemistry
- Record of excellence in teaching and research in Chemistry
- Strong commitment to student mentorship and advising
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive departmental culture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and college-wide policies and procedures
