Position Overview

The Senior Data Researcher plays a crucial role in the Data Research team, supporting content creation by collecting, classifying, and reviewing data to enhance our articles. This position is pivotal in ensuring the swift, accurate, and high-quality publication of content across Forbes Marketplace properties, including Forbes Health, Forbes Advisor US, Forbes Advisor International, Forbes Home, Forbes Business, and Wheels.

Collaborating with Research Managers, you will lead the collection and compilation of data related to financial products, such as loans, mortgages, savings/checking accounts, credit cards, online brokerage, insurance, as well as topics like health products, home improvement, entrepreneurship, legal services, and education.

 The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth primary research, design and execute research projects, and provide actionable recommendations for informed business decisions. 

Skill & Experience 

• Previous 3-5 years of experience in phone-based research 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow scripts and guidelines.
• Proficient in data entry and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone surveys, interviews, and other research methodologies with a proven track record of accuracy, ensuring the methodologies are aligned with project objectives.
• Communicate fluently in English in gathering valuable information through telephone interactions on specific topics as directed by research objectives.
• Adhere to predefined questionnaires, ensuring consistency and standardization in data collection. Adjust communication style as needed to suit respondent understanding.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data by conducting thorough quality assurance checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with specific teams, department heads, or designated contacts.
• Reframe research strategies as needed, ensuring adaptability to changing circumstances and evolving project requirements.
