Join us for the experience.Job Description :Position Overview :As the PMO Manager for the Engineering Team at Cloudify, you will play a pivotal role in leading and optimising project management processes while overseeing the team's day-to-day operations. This multifaceted role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies in the context of B2B SaaS and technology projects. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Project Management Office (PMO) for the engineering department, ensuring the successful execution of projects aligned with organisational objectives.Key Responsibilities : PMO Leadership:- Establish and lead the Project Management Office for the engineering team, defining and implementing standardized processes, methodologies, and tools.- Drive the adoption of best practices in project management to ensure successful project delivery. Team Management:- Lead and mentor a team within the engineering department, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.- Oversee team members' workloads, assignments, and professional development. Leave Approval and Management:- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate recording, tracking, and timely approval of leave requests. Appraisal Management:- Manage the appraisal process for the engineering team.- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development. Task Reporting:- Establish robust task reporting mechanisms to provide accurate and timely updates on project progress for the engineering team.- Work closely with project managers to gather and analyze task-related data for reporting purposes. Project Governance:- Develop and enforce project governance policies, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.- Work closely with engineering project teams to provide guidance on project initiation, planning, execution, and closure. Portfolio Management:- Oversee the management of the engineering project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and strategic alignment.- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects contributing to overall business goals. Risk Management:- Identify, assess, and manage project risks for the engineering team, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impact.- Ensure effective communication of risks and mitigation plans to relevant stakeholders. Communication and Reporting:- Facilitate communication within the team and with stakeholders.- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports.- Ensure transparency and visibility into project performanceQuality Assurance:- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes for custom projects.- Conduct regular reviews to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.- Work with project teams to address and resolve quality issues. Requirement Gathering:- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements for custom projects.- Define and document clear project objectives, scope, and deliverables.- Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project needs.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
