Job description
- The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer with OpenShift AI experience to join us
- Youll work closely with our developer and quality engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and make Red Hat OpenShift AI an even better product
- You ll become an expert on Red Hat s solutions and services, including OpenShift AI , and you will ensure our customers are capable of using them effectively on their own
- As a Technical Support Engineer, you will perform investigations and troubleshooting to quickly resolve technical issues
- We are seeking an experienced OpenShift AI Technical Support Engineer to join our team
- In this role, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for customers using Red Hat s OpenShift AI platform
- Your primary responsibility will be to help customers resolve issues with their containerized applications running in a cloud environment, and ensure their optimal performance using artificial intelligence (AI)powered automation and optimization capabilities
What you will do
- Analyze customer issues related to application deployment, scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, and other aspects of the OpenShift AI platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues by identifying root causes, gathering evidence, and providing appropriate solutions or workarounds.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide guidance on best practices for deploying and managing containerized applications using OpenShift AI.
- Monitor customer environments for potential issues or performance anomalies using machine learning algorithms and other analytical tools.
- Proactively recommend optimization strategies, such as resource allocation, workload placement, or capacity planning, to help customers maximize the value of their OpenShift AI deployments.
- Document customer issues and resolutions in a ticketing system for future reference and knowledge sharing purposes.
- Keep updated with the latest features, enhancements, and best practices of OpenShift AI to provide accurate and timely support to customers.
What you will bring
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of handson experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Podman, Kubernetes) and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- In Depth knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform, including its components and architecture.
- Solid understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques and their application in the context of containerized applications and cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds and technical expertise levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience working in a customer facing support role, ideally with experience supporting containerization or cloud computing technologies.
The following are considered a plus:
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and data analysis tools (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for containerized applications (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with popular CI/CD tools used in conjunction with OpenShift AI (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Experience working with Kubernetes operators or customizing them for specific application needs.
- Knowledge of common security best practices and vulnerability assessment techniques in a containerized environment.
- Familiarity with cloud provider specific features, services, or integrations related to OpenShift AI
