Job Overview It's a leading steel manufacturing company based in Kolkata, is seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join their team. As a Pattern Maker, you will be responsible for creating patterns used in the production of steel components. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The job location is Howrah, West Bengal, India. This is a full-time position.
Qualifications And Skills - 4 to 6 years of experience as a Pattern Maker in a steel manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge and experience in working with steel or aluminium materials
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Diploma or GED in Pattern Making, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Ability to transition two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional patterns
- Experience in designing models and creating prototypes
- Skilled in measuring, snipping, milling, and cutting tools to shape patterns
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain precision and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
Roles And Responsibilities - Create and modify patterns for steel components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop pattern designs and models
- Use steel or aluminium materials to build patterns according to blueprints
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Transition two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional patterns
- Measure, snip, mill, and cut tools to shape patterns
- Inspect and test patterns for quality and precision
- Make necessary adjustments and modifications to patterns as required
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to junior pattern makers
- Maintain records of pattern designs, modifications, and specifications
