Job Description
- Create and update the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Recommend food and wine pairings.
- Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices.
- Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices.
- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware.
- Store open bottles properly to maintain strong taste.
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment on a daily basis in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of 5-star luxury hotel or a high-end restaurant experience
- Having an extensive and strong knowledge of wines including the local ones,
- Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings,
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
- Knowledgeable about Food & Beverage operations,
- Ability to use Micros POS,
- Having advanced communication skills,
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
