What Will You Do?

We have an opportunity for a 6 month assignment to work on our People Operations team as a Benefits Specialist from February 2024 to August 2024. This role is the first point of contact for managers and employees for all benefits queries. You’ll also work closely with your colleagues HR and payroll to make sure our employee experience is always positive.
You’ll be responsible for administering and explaining all US employee benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. You’ll also serve as the liaison between the benefit providers and Third Bridge employees.
Day to day activities will include::
- Administer and explain all employee benefits to employees.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Manage the open enrolment process, determine eligibility, and enroll new hires based on qualified lifestyle changes
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrolments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Audit monthly billings from vendors against enrolments in the HRIS to ensure accuracy of billing
- Submit invoices to finance to ensure timely payment of services
- Manage the retirement program including responding to program inquiries from employees relating to enrolment, plan changes, and contribution amounts; manages the annual catch-up contribution enrolment
- Send COBRA notifications to recently terminated employees
- Partner with finance on monthly basis to ensure COBRA payments have been submitted and audit COBRA enrolments to keep up to date enrollment records

- Ensure compliance with all state/federal leave laws in coordination with related company leave policies. Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Maintain personal information relating to benefits
Qualifications
What You Will Bring?
To be successful in this role you’ll be a self starter with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You’ll feel confident to share ideas and offer innovative solutions to support day-to-day challenges.
You’ll have some experience in knowledge of employee benefits. You’ll have at least 1+ year experience in benefits.
- Some knowledge on benefits administration
- US Benefits experience is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work some overlap of United States hours.
Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be coupled with great organisational and problem solving skills which allow you to be successful in our fast paced environment.
