Job description

This is a contract role for a Project Manager (banking). The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects with a focus on the banking industry. This is an on-site role located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Malaysia.

Requirements: -

• Proven track record in the management of IT systems development and implementation in the Banking/ Finance sector.
• Proficient project management experience (minimum 4 years) with technical and banking specific business knowledge.
• Experience in the processes and workings on data warehouse project managing various systems and vendors; including the controls, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Have experience and knowledge of Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Data Mart and Data Lake solutions for Banking Industry.
• Understanding of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud based and on prem solutions.
• Understand the principles of data engineering, and the supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores.
• Familiarity for certain database technologies such as Oracle, IBM DB2 and MS SQL will be an added advantage.
• Possess good knowledge and able to consult on various data management technologies will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Software System Development and Implementation Lifecycle (SDLC), AGILE methodology in project management is added advantage.
• Ability to lead, manage and work effectively with various teams of people across the organization to achieve the objectives of the project.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex business and system processes. Ability to work Business Team.
• Excellent communication, analytical, leadership skills.
• Has experience participating in solution evaluation activities and understand IT evaluation process preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not mandatory.
