Job description
Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer
Experience required: 3 years – 8 years
Qualification required: B.E. / B. Tech – Mechanical / Production
Job Location: Thane
Must to have skills: Machine Design / Material Handling / Product Design / SPM Design / Packaging Machines / Conveyors / Sheet metal design
Job Responsibilities:
1. Understand the requirements and work with different teams to implement new ideas.
2. Create design concept and detail engineering
3. Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability.
4. Conduct design reviews to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
5. Knowledge in GD&T, stack-up analysis, and different industrial standards like ANSI, JIS, DIN, etc.
6. Close coordination with customers and suppliers.
7. Good knowledge of Tooling, fixtures and jigs would be a plus.
8. Knowledge of manufacturing/production/assembly processes would be a plus.
9. Hands-on experience in various manufacturing processes would be a plus.
Desired Skill Set:
1. Good in engineering mechanics, strength of materials & theory of machines.
2. A good grasp of engineering and design principles
3. 3 years of Core experience in Special Purpose Machines, Machine Design, Material handling, Packaging Machines, Conveyors, Sheet metal design, etc.
4. Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic.
5. Knowledge in GD&T, stack up analysis.
6. Good knowledge of any of the 3D modeling software (SolidWorks / Creo).
7. Excellent communication skills and good teamwork skills.
8. Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments.
9. Basic understanding of Information Security Management system
