Job description

The Network Engineer/Sr. IT Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's network infrastructure. This includes wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network-related equipment and NAS Storage. The Network Engineer/Sr. IT Engineer ensures network performance, availability, and security, while also providing technical support for network-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design and implement network infrastructure based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.

 Must have knowledge related to Networking and wireless devices- Firewall, Switches, Routers, Access Points.

 Experience with NAS Storage database, network, and patch management.

 Continuously monitor network performance and identify and address issues in a timely manner.

 Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure network reliability and security.

 Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory.

 Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.

 Must have good hands with network configuration and connections.

 Maximize performance by troubleshooting network problems and scheduling upgrades.

 Collaborate with other IT teams, such as system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.

 Work on cross-functional projects as required.

 Must have knowledge of system administration, hardware, and software.

 Good knowledge with handling ticketing systems and resolving errors.

 Set-up accounts and workstations.

 Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.

 Must be good in communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

 Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 At least 4 years of experience in relevant domains.

 Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.

 Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration and management.

 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

 Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
