Services:
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
• You are a part of a team of 4 Engineering Managers • You are the leader of 1-2 teams of Software Engineers within standard platform • Upskilling your team through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and goal setting • You are leading the day-to-day work for the team(s) and are ideally acting like the Scrum Master for your teams. As such you both have a responsibility for the short-term deliverables in the sprint and the long-term improvements, development and constitution of your team(s) • You are responsible for fostering a healthy working environment for your teams • You work closely with your peers in Product Management to understand and refine the customer outcomes that you and your teams are responsible for delivering • You collaborate with other engineering leaders within your area to deliver cross area initiatives, and to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency where needed • You understand and define relevant engineering KPIs to gain insight into your team’s performance and to help drive improvement, for example in product quality, security, delivery, system performance etc. • You are responsible for engineering excellence within your area of responsibility – with support from our Tech Leads • You are responsible for the planning and the delivery of the outcomes of your teams • You are accountable for that your teams follow our security best practices, and for ensuring we continually raise the bar when it comes to security
WHAT WE VALUE
We are looking for candidates with following
ESSENTIAL You are an engineer at heart, with a passion for improving things – whether that is people, process, or technology • You have at least 2 years of manager experience, and you have natural skill of creating followership • You have a good grasp of core engineering practices like testing, continuous integration\deployment, architecture, and be able to understand what your team are doing daily as well as reason with their decisions • You have the domain knowledge in the IT industry, ideally in finance or banking • Having previously been part of an agile team, you have a good understanding of agile ways of working at the team level and know what methods & techniques to apply when • You have excellent English skills in both writing and speaking • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and a self-assured approach • Enthusiastic, committed and result-oriented • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects and teams • Financial / Fintech background is a plus
DESIRABLE • You have a technical background from software industry • Financial / Fintech background is a plus • Proven record of leading team(s) in a big organization with multiple stakeholders involved
