Overview:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) MBBS plays a vital role in providing medical care to patients in a healthcare setting. As a frontline healthcare professional the RMO MBBS is responsible for monitoring and managing the medical needs of patients making critical decisions regarding their treatment and ensuring the overall wellbeing of individuals under their care. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of patient care and upholding the standards of medical practice within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Formulating and implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations.
- Interpreting diagnostic tests and reports accurately.
- Collaborating with medical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of patients.
- Advising and educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments.
- Participating in medical rounds and case presentations.
- Identifying and managing highrisk medical conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards.
- Assisting in clinical procedures and surgeries as required.
- Supervising and guiding junior medical staff.
- Participating in continuous medical education and training programs.
- Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Remaining updated with the latest medical research and developments.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration and license to practice medicine.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Sound knowledge of medical principles practices and ethics.
- Proficiency in clinical diagnosis and patient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach towards patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and handle oncall duties.
- Uptodate knowledge of medical advancements and best practices.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
- Understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining professional development and competence.
