Job description

Urgent requirement for a Saudi based client for the position Digitalization Expert having mining and processing industry background

ResponsibiliƟes:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive digitalization strategy for our mining and
processing operations, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for digitalization, automation,
and process improvement within the mining and processing value chain.
3. Evaluate existing workflows, systems, and technologies, and recommend innovative
digital solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase
productivity.
4. Lead the implementation of digitalization initiatives, including the selection and
integration of appropriate software, hardware, and data analytics tools.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance in areas such as IoT (Internet of Things),
automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
6. Conduct data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
for optimization and continuous improvement.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive digital
transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines and
budgets.
8. Stay up to date with emerging digital technologies, industry trends, and best practices,
and recommend their application to enhance operational performance.
9. Develop training programs and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to educate and
upskill employees on digitalization initiatives and tools.
10. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digitalization projects, track key performance
indicators, and generate reports to measure the impact on operational efficiency and
business outcomes.

QualificaƟons:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (10+ years) as a subject matter expert or consultant in digitalization
within the mining and processing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of mining and processing operations, workflows, and challenges, with
a focus on digital transformation.
4. Demonstrated expertise in implementing digitalization strategies, technologies, and
solutions, such as IoT, automation, AI, ML, and data analytics.
5. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using tools such as Python, R, or similar
software.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and
manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex
technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Analytical mindset, with a problem-solving orientation and a drive for continuous
improvement.
9. Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in the mining and processing
industry.
10. Willingness to travel to various mining and processing sites as needed.

• Location in Riyadh or Jubail (KSA)
• Capability to travel within KSA or Outside KSA.
