Job description
Overview: Borneo is seeking a skilled, experienced, and hands-on Principal UI Engineer to drive innovation and contribute to our mission of transforming data security and privacy. As a Principal Engineer at Borneo, you will play a crucial role in shaping the frontend architecture and design of the platform. Your expertise in frontend technologies will drive the development of user-friendly and high-performance interfaces.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications for a data discovery and compliance automation platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product, technical requirements, UX designs and technical architecture. Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces.Ensure that user experience is at the forefront of frontend development. Build and maintain APIs, ensuring they are well-documented and adhere to industry standards. Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of backend components. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in web applications, employing optimization techniques for improved user experience. Required Experience: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Proven track record of software development, with experience (10+ years) in a hands-on coding role. Strong frontend development skills, including proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript. Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular) and state management libraries (e.g. NgRx). Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and best practices Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Familiarity with database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Solid understanding of software design patterns, best practices, and coding standards. Preferred Experiences: Experience in a product startup is highly preferred. Working knowledge of Temporal for workflow management and orchestration. Preferred experience in Node.js, Express.js, and working with RESTful APIs. Experience in development of multi-cloud distributed SaaS.
