About The Role The role is responsible for Procurement of plant related purchase requirement.
Job Description
- Procurement of plant related purchase requirement including service contracts
- Floating enquiries to vendors and follow-up calls for obtaining the quotes.
- Preparing internal costing for the requirement.
- Preparing commercial comparison.
- Negotiation with vendors in consultation with team lead.
- Getting approvals as per DOA.
- Making Purchase/Work Orders
- Follow –up with vendors, transporters for ordered material.
- Providing the MIS for the areas handled.
- Close coordination with stores/internal stake holders for planning and ensuring the material availability as per production plan.
- Coordination with vendors and internal stake holder to resolve the disputes related to purchase order.
- New vendor development and periodic review of vendor database.
- Coordinating with accounts for payment release as per order terms.
- Cost Reduction on overall buying thru Volume Growth Fixed Cost Benefit, Value Analysis, Yield Improvement, Localization, process improvement or alternate process.
- Organize communication with suppliers periodically according to the requirements of the category to build durable relationships with suppliers.
- Providing and solving the queries related to documents as questioned by auditors.
Qualification Graduate /Post Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/Production), MBA
- Minimum 8-10 Years of Experience in the field of Procurement
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- Good negotiation and networking skill
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Hands-on experience in SAP and Microsoft office.
