Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Manager to join our manufacturing unit. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring the timely and efficient creation of high-quality jewelry items. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of jewelry manufacturing techniques, and a proven track record in managing production teams in the jewelry industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Coordinate with sales, design, and procurement teams to ensure the availability of materials and resources for seamless production processes.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
2. Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain stringent quality control standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that finished products meet quality benchmarks and comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
3. Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills, product knowledge, and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage workforce allocation, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
4. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the production workflow.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative production techniques and technologies.
5. Resource Management:
- Manage equipment, machinery, and other production resources, ensuring their proper maintenance and functionality.
- Coordinate with maintenance and technical support teams to address equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of raw materials and components for uninterrupted production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in jewelry manufacturing, with a deep understanding of various jewelry-making techniques and materials.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate production teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in production planning software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with implementing lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques is highly desirable.
