Develop content for an array of technical publications across all phases of production (scoping features, planning, writing, editing, publishing).
Work independently to research, investigate, and gather information from both formal and informal specifications and requirements sources (Jira epics stories, engineering wikis, ITU-T/IEEE standards, technical subject matter experts).
Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to create and refine technical content that enables customers to achieve rapid success with our products.
Exercise active, hands-on approach with using a command line interface to develop advanced configurations and user material.
Work closely with team members to promote content development best practices, leverage content reuse, promote consistency, and adhere to established styles, conventions, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
This role may be required to travel and attend face-to-face meetings and Calix sponsored events.
Excellent written and oral communications skills (essential).
BA in English, Technical/Professional Writing, Communications, or equivalent.
Three or more years experience as a content developer for customer enablement materials.
Strong initiative and self-motivation combined with a keen technical savvy.
Proven record of producing and delivering high-quality content on time.
Experience working within Agile development methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with optical access networking technologies, including PON, IP/Ethernet switching routing, QoS, Wi-Fi protocols, etc.
Experience developing content in a single-source environment (ex: Author-It, Madcap Flare).
Experience with workplace collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Teams.
Experience creating technical illustrations with draw.io, Lucidchart, Visio, Photoshop.
