Job description

Oversee Purchase Ledger, Treasury and Financial Accounting/Reporting teams, Inventory Costing, ensuring fit for Continually review and develop internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate governance / Cowick Ordinance. These reviews will often involve other departments where a high degree of influence is required to ensure recommended changes are made in the best interests of the business.

Continually review and develop processes and procedures to ensure they remain effective and efficient. This will involve carrying out gap analysis and providing solutions both inside and out of the SAP system.

Responsibility for ensuring the timely, accurate, reliable and complete reporting of monthly financial information i.e., ensuring the monthly BPC reports submitted to Group fully reconcile to SAP.

Oversee the annual internal audit review and ensure all recommendations are addressed in a timely manner.

Plan and oversee the annual external audit review at year end. This will involve the swift resolution of queries, sometimes complex in nature, to ensure the Group and Statutory reporting deadline are achieved.

Liaise with Income Tax departments.

Regulatory Responsibilities:

Statutory and Fiscal reporting
Income Tax and FEMA Compliance

Specific Conditions:

CA with 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting and taxation in a Manufacturing Set up.

The role expects the job holder to be proficient in the SAP system (especially use of reports for data analysis and troubleshooting wherever required) and MS office.

The job holder will be one of the joint bank signatory and a high degree of integrity is required.
Possess good analytical skills and communication skills.
Responsibility for innovation should be assumed. Digital Transformation Initiatives would be encouraged.

Knowledge and application of Indian accounting standards, Direct & Indirect Tax, FEMA and RBI guidelines is essential. Good communication skills, analytical skills, presentation skills, knowledge of internal controls and desire to innovate new ways of working to ensure effective and efficient ways of working. Ensuring compliance to Ethics framework and ensuring compliance to applicable laws is most important.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel in particular, well conversant with SAP
Ability to work within a team and also work closely with other department heads within the company.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of accounting standards
Strong commercial acumen
Persuasive manner
Ability to plan multiple activities with competing priorities.
Good trouble-shooting and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and work standards.
