As a member of the BI team, you will play a key role in provision of Business Intelligence across BT Business, providing the business with relevant and actionable insight to inform and support the delivery of and implementation of complex operational and sales reward performance requirements.
The role holder will collaborate both operationally and technically across key functional business units involved in the design of the sales reward plans and offer advice and make recommendations based on expertise, suggesting solutions and improvements on complex segment and portfolio dynamics that enable the delivery of operational and sales rewards measurement requirements that drive sales performance. In addition to this, the role holder is also responsible for ensuring the accurate and on time delivery of critical data feeds sent to group sales reward for payplan and commission payment calculations.
What you’ll be doing
Ensures the effective implementation of the sales strategy and pay plans through day-to-day operations, prioritisation and planning underpinning £250m of payments per year
Approver of internally published payplan and commission performance
Supporting and signing off internal and external audits of published KPIs
Lead and support on payplan and commission queries and sales grievance cases
Business owner of SMB, CPS and Wholesale sales reward business rules and data products, maintaining and upkeeping business rules and owning the creation and definition of new rules/data products
Defining the operational and sales reward KPI measurement framework ensuring consistency and integrity
Quality assurance of critical managed reference sets including sales reward targets, sales organisation hierarchies and product maps
Quality on time delivery of sales reward performance payplan/commission feeds to group sales reward team
Own and drive operational and sales reward performance reporting and insight the strategy for enabling self service
Own and manage the requirement demand and delivery of operational and sales reward performance roadmap
Valued business partner with the internal and external channel/department senior stakeholders, building a wide and effective stakeholder relationships and support the complex stakeholder management requirement of an organisation of this scale and effectively prioritise the workload / deliverables
Own data improvements/requirements for program deliverables / product launches needed to underpin key processes for commercial trading and finance
Expert in managing a small team, using your technical skills and experience to assure the quality of their work, coaching them for success, developing their skills, and managing their priorities to ensure sustained focus on greatest value driving activities
The skills you’ll need to succeed
Expert user of data visualisation tools, such as Qlik Sense & Tableau to help deliver key insights
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills coupled with good commercial awareness
Attention to detail to ensure accurate results and analysis
Advanced in SQL programming language and data interrogation techniques to support analysis
Data visualisation, an ability to tell the story to the stakeholder, via Excel, PowerPoint, Qlik or similar tool
Stakeholder management; have ability to form strong working relationships with key stakeholders and understand their business needs and drivers
Skilled in the use of the following applications Salesforce, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, SQL, Qlik or Tableau
Knowledge and understanding of ex-Enterprise BT and EE order systems and data
Experience you’d be expected to have
Expertise in data analytics
Experience and ability to understand complex data then translate your analysis into clear and concise language for senior managers
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver a vision or goal with various moving parts
Preferred domain experience and expertise in the Business telecoms market, its products and systems
