About the department

DD&IT GBS was established in February 2010 as an integral part of Global IT in HQ. From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 800+ employees till date. The Cross DD&IT is the unit responsible for Services supporting compliance management of multiple IT systems in Novo Nordisk. The systems are used on a global scale by many areas of the business, including R&D, PSQ etc. and are critical to the execution of key business process such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance etc. Cross DD&IT Services focuses on delivering harmonised support services related in the Compliance, Validation and Testing areas, thus supporting the maintenance of the systems in a validated state.

The Position

As a Risk Manager you will identify risks to IT systems, -infrastructure and computerised equipment, evaluate system architecture and identify controls needed to mitigate the risk. This includes performing an IT risk assessment and managing IT risks throughout the operational lifecycle of an IT system. Additionally, act as a subject matter expert to advise stakeholders and help build a solid risk management culture in Novo Nordisk. Your primary responsibility will be:

• Facilitate and drive IT Risk Assessments (individually and through workshops) by collaborating with IT Security and IT Quality team. Complete the IT Risk Assessment in ServiceNow by assessing risks to a system and mitigating them by recommending the right controls needed to secure the system.
• Ensure risks are assessed from an IT security, data integrity, quality, business point of view and ensure they are appropriately handled. Support building a risk management culture in Novo Nordisk and enable the adoption of ServiceNow IRM (Integrated Risk management).
• Stay updated with changing external requirements and internal SOPs that impact the IT Risk Management process. Stabilise and support streamlining of the IRM service and contribute towards building a CoE for Risk Management.
• Execute risk-based validation strategy & deliverables. Develop plans, execute, and deliver the services with acceptable service evaluations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 5x are any other similar approach and suggest/ implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Provide compliance consulting for the IT projects and deliver compliance deliverables with respect to CSV.
• Manage test execution and reporting, participate in audits and inspections related to the projects/ systems supported including finding solutions to compliance gaps identified in audit/ inspections.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or relevant technology experience (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).

• 8 years of experience in working in a service level-based organization preferably in the IT quality/IT Security/Risk Management domain.
• 3+ years of practical experience in Risk management/ assessment. 3+ years of practical experience in GxP areas specifically Data Integrity. Experience within data privacy and GDPR. Knowledge of and experience with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• 3 to 5 years of CSV/Validation experience in executing risk-based validation strategy & deliverables, perform Root Cause analysis, implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and manage test execution and reporting.
• Experience with GRC/IRM in ServiceNow is an advantage (Governance Risk & Compliance/Integrated Risk Management).
• On a personal level you are a team player who can work both in teams and still be able to work independently, focus on efficiency and business value in all tasks being executed, and communicate productively with clients.
• An excellent communicator and comfortable working with different countries across multiple time-zones. A team player, who excels in a busy environment with a high degree of empowerment.
