Job description
Bioprocess Engineer position at Sea6 Energy.
Applications are invited from candidates with expertise in biochemical engineering or bioprocess engineering for a Bioprocess engineer position at Sea6Energy Pvt Ltd., Bangalore. We, at Sea6 Energy, work with marine macroalgal biomass to develop novel sustainable solutions in the research areas of food, feed and fuel. The person will be responsible for the execution and analysis of research projects related to the improvement of seaweed processing and extraction. A working knowledge of process design for the purification and the characterization of active ingredients from natural resources/microbes/seaweed sources towards the development of agro formulations, biostimulants will be prioritized. The candidate should have an ability to independently execute, analyze, interpret experimental results to compile reports/presentations to discuss in the internal and external meetings. Education qualifications: MTech degree (biochemical/bioprocess engineering) with two years of research experience or a BTech degree with about 4 years of work experience in the below mentioned area is desired. Responsibilities: Carrying out experiments involving spectrophotometry and chromatographic techniques, for example, HPLC, FTIR, estimation of chemical components of a complex mixture, enzyme kinetics, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-liquid extraction, etc. Experimentation to support development of new products or improving existing processes. Carrying out Unit operation like hydrolysis, extraction, evaporation, spray drying, etc. Analysis of data generated from these experiments. Method development for analysis of the product components Coordinate analysis with third party laboratory providing services such as mass spectrometry, ICP-OES etc. experience in extraction/processing of seaweed biomass-based actives/biomolecules is an advantage.Job tags
