Job Summary The Area Security Manager assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients will drive the development and standardization of security policies and programs for safeguarding corporate business operations. This position has direct management responsibility for the delivery of effective corporate security operations and emergency/incident response. Provide support in safety, and business continuity, as well as physical security design/installation in Corporate Office.
Essential Functions - Strategic Planning & Implementation: Develop and execute security strategies tailored to the unique needs of the corporate site.
- Ensure integration of physical security measures with technological systems.
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of security professionals.
- Provide training programs to maintain high competency levels among staff members.
- Risk Assessment & Crisis Response: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats. – Develop emergency response plans including evacuation procedures.
- Investigation Coordination: Oversee investigations into incidents or irregularities occurring within the area's jurisdiction.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments (HR, IT) as well as external law enforcement agencies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant laws/regulations including occupational health safety standards cybersecurity policies
- Reporting Documentation : Maintain accurate records report on status effectiveness implemented strategies
- Technology Integration : Continuously assess upgrade surveillance access control systems keep pace evolving threats
- Vendor Liaison : Manage relationships contractors service providers ensuring adherence contractual terms quality standards
- Budget Oversight: Responsible budgetary planning allocation resources dedicated area's needs
- Workplace Safety Programs: Implement workplace safety initiatives aimed preventing accidents promoting culture vigilance
- Security Awareness Training: Conduct regular sessions increase awareness best practices among broader employee population
- Continuous Improvement Efforts: Engage continuous improvement efforts constantly enhance effectiveness efficiency operations
Education, Experience, And Certifications Degree (or higher) in criminal justice, security, law enforcement, or equivalent education with eight to ten years of experience in the development of security plans, policies, trend analysis, intelligence, investigations, and security awareness training programs. Ex Armed Forces Officer with up to fifteen years of experience within a corporate security setting will also be considered. CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM certification is preferred. Personal Attributes Strong leadership skills excellent communication abilities ability work under pressure exercise sound judgement critical situations.
