About The Role

In this role you will focus on leading the Global Client & Solutions (GC&S) BU FP&A team in Bangalore through value-add financial planning and analysis, partnering with FP&A heads and Finance managers across the Business Unit finance teams to contribute towards its success. Responsible for the performance management activities of the GC&S Bangalore team and contribute to building a powerful FP&A function for the BU. The GC&S FP&A Bangalore team consists of four employees working closely with other members within the GCS BU across locations. The team is a diverse mix of languages and gender.

We Are Looking For An Ambitious, Impactful And Standout Colleague Excited To Lead The BU GC&S FP&A Team In Bangalore With Content Responsibility On The FP&A Topics For The Newly Established Solutions Department Within Business Unit. As a Senior Financial Analyst, You Will

  • proactively contribute to the foundation of the end-to-end finance operation for the newly set-up of Solutions division
  • gain an in-depth understanding of the performance measures, reporting standards and analysis of a fee business.
  • use your strong analytical, data processing and communication skills to provide opinions and valuable input while helping to make sure data is comprehensive, complete, and well understood.
  • analyze the performance of the Solutions portfolios and regularly work on quickly emerging ad-hoc tasks.
  • quickly familiarize yourself with new and changing concepts, so that the analysis provided always reflects the latest requirements of the company.
  • provide, and ensure the accuracy of data and analysis/insights needed to support the Solutions Management Team' presentation requirements for board meetings, external events, internal meetings and similar.
  • work in close collaboration with all colleagues in Finance, Operations and Sales on developing pipeline management, USG, EVM and IFRS reporting.
  • communicate results in a way that is easily understood by people not dealing on an every-day basis with data/reports.
  • have opportunities to work with senior management.

About The Team

This position is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the Bangalore GC&S FP&A team functionally working with BU GC&S FP&A teams across the locations. This team is integral part of the Global Performance Management Hub (PMH) with a mandate to enable the BU FP&A teams by supporting in reporting analysis, planning and reporting of all Finance related topics in Solutions. Team in Bangalore works together with the Solutions & Globals FP&A team in Zurich as one team of financial partner for the BU Management Team, supporting them in all financial data related topics.

About You

  • Overall, 7 -8 years of working experience in (re-)insurance analytics, controlling or similar function.
  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Natural Science, Finance or equivalent
  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance/Fee based products.
  • Strong analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture.
  • Mature & self-confident; Able to work with internal clients, business partners or senior colleagues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
