Job Summary:
As a Jewelry Consultant, you will be the face of our jewelry store, assisting customers in finding the perfect pieces of jewelry, providing product knowledge, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. You will also contribute to sales targets and uphold the store's reputation for quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Listen to customers' needs and preferences to guide them in selecting jewelry that suits their style and occasion.
Provide information on gemstones, metals, and jewelry care to educate customers.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a deep understanding of the jewelry collections and individual pieces in the store.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new arrivals, and gemstone properties to answer customer inquiries accurately.
Sales and Upselling:
Actively promote and sell jewelry items, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Suggest complementary pieces or upsell based on customer preferences and budget.
Handle pricing inquiries and negotiate when necessary.
Inventory Management:
Keep track of jewelry inventory, restocking displays, and reporting low stock items to management.
Assist in regular inventory counts and reconciliation.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through follow-up and excellent service.
Handle customer concerns, returns, and exchanges in a professional and efficient manner.
Visual Merchandising:
Assist in creating appealing and well-organized jewelry displays.
Ensure that the store's appearance is clean and inviting.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or gemology certification is a plus.
Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in the jewelry industry.
Knowledge of jewelry materials, gemstones, and metals.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Working Conditions:
This role typically involves standing for extended periods and may require lifting or handling jewelry items.
Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required to meet customer demands.
