Job Description & Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong market research, company analysis and strategy development skills to support data-driven decision making. The candidate will be based in our Gurugram office as part of our M&A Advisory team and will work closely with consultants based in Singapore to build and work on reports that have a direct impact on business priorities and M&A Advisory. The role has a primary focus on supporting industry analysis and M&A strategy. You will be a key member of the team performing primary and secondary research, market, and company analysis, in support of M&A strategy, primarily for Southeast Asia markets. You may also be required to support ad hoc Strategy and M&A projects and proposal development. Working Hours: It is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from office at least two days a week, with a general guideline of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs. What You'll Do: Gather, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data, draw conclusions, and develop strategic recommendations; use advanced storyboarding, excel, and visualization skills Apply established tools and methodologies to support business decision-making Manage assigned projects, effectively collaborating and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders Develop high quality PowerPoint presentations and present to the client and internal team Demonstrate the ability to understand trends in industry, and relate them to business objectives Demonstrate and apply strong knowledge of management frameworks Qualifications Required: MBA degree or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Commerce/Mathematics/Economics 2+ years of experience in business strategy and business case development, including market analysis, interviewing skills, and data distillation to insights preferred Preferred: Ability to develop impactful presentations, including logical structuring and storytelling Ability to develop high-quality deliverables with limited input Ability to support and conduct external interviews with executive-level experts, including synthesizing interview notes to develop key insights Experience in developing business strategy including analyses like market sizing, industry structure, competitor landscape, business opportunities, and recommendations Solid project management skills, with the ability to seamlessly switch between different workstreams Strong business acumen; ability to connect the dots to draw meaningful insights for the business Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation to senior leaders Experience working with virtual teams and senior leadership; can hold a conversation beyond work to build rapport in a virtual environment Ability to juggle many competing priorities/ deadlines Proficiency in Japanese language (Business level) is an advantageJob tags
