Job description

Job Purpose To organize and oversee all security operations of NOP. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards and ensure customer focused behaviors. Develop the process and keep the team ready for emergency responses across all assets The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected.

Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures with timely reviews. Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms Review reports on incidents and breaches and implement corrective and preventive actions Create reports for management on security operations. Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g., implementation of new technology) Responsible for ensuring flawless audits (ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and 18001 audits) Manage and mitigate the security risks that impact the portfolio. Manage and coordinate the protection of employees, company property, building access and visitor control Develop and implement processes and procedures to meet required legislations and regulations Develop and implement and maintain all required facility security manuals. Conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Directs the activities of the facility security team Analyze evidence collated and draft’s part or all of formal reports commenting on the conformance found to exist in the reviewed part of an information systems environment Ensure the maintenance of security related systems - CCTV, alarm system, etc. Ensure that accesses to controlled areas is only granted to authorised individuals Deliver the role in alignment with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, including Health and Safety (EHS).

Role Requirements:

Education Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Being Certified security professional will be an added advantage

Work Experience : Experience in managing large commercial/IT parks Defence experience as a commissioned officer is added advantage Experience in security consulting services will add value

Skills Required : Knowledge of security protocols, procedures and regulatory framework. Risk and vulnerability assessments Adapting technology in security operations Emergency response planning and training Stakeholder management Communication and interpersonal skills MS office and relevant IT knowledge
