Services & Contract Project Procurement Head

Job Summary:

The Services & Contract Project Procurement Head will be responsible for managing the procurement of services, equipment, and materials required for various projects within the chemical company. This role involves vendor selection, contract negotiation, cost management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Selection:

Identify and evaluate potential vendors and contractors for services, equipment, and materials needed for projects. Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulations. Cost Management:

Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies to optimize project budgets and expenses. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all vendors and contractors comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. Risk Management:

Assess and manage risks associated with vendors and contractors, including safety and reliability considerations. Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure a reliable supply of materials and services. Quality Assurance:

Ensure that vendors consistently deliver high-quality materials and services, meeting the company's standards. Innovation and Technology:

Stay updated on emerging technologies and work with vendors to incorporate innovative solutions into projects. Supply Chain Optimization:

Optimize the supply chain to reduce lead times, manage inventory efficiently, and enhance project timelines. Environmental and Sustainability Considerations:

Collaborate with vendors to promote sustainability and environmentally friendly practices in procurement. Contract Management:

Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, specifying terms, conditions, and performance expectations. Budget Management:

Monitor and control procurement budgets, track expenses, and report on cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field (MBA degree preferred). 20-25 Years relevant experience required. Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the chemical or related industry. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor selection. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards. Excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities. Strategic thinking and ability to optimize the supply chain. Proficiency in using procurement and contract management software. Strong project management skills. Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in procurement.
