The Principal HRIS Analyst will work primarily with the payroll team to simplify and standardize Workday data and processes related to Core HCM, Reporting, Time Tracking and Absence in a global environment. This individual must have configuration experience in each of these areas and overall project management experience. A few projects will relate to Workday Compensation, Benefits and Cloud Connect for Third Party Payroll. The role will serve as a subject matter expert for Workday, to drive the implementation and release of cyclical programs, new functionality, and enhancements, as well as operational tasks. Advanced expertise in Workday for process analysis, design and problem-solving with focus on end-to-end processes and impacts. The analyst will function as the liaison between cross-functional business teams.

He/She will be responsible for translating complex business needs to effective design recommendations, system/data analysis, instituting design in system, and leading testing and deployment activities. Leverage deep functional expertise to understand process and systems requirements.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Global HRIS with a dotted line report to the Senior Manager Global Payroll your initial responsibilities will be

Leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday projects which will add value to simplify and standardize the overall payroll process such as:

  • Core HCM: Create banking validations for all countries in APAC and EMEA, data gathering (i.e., prefix, marital status, religion, etc.) for various countries where it's required for payroll processing.
  • Time Tracking: Create On-Call for Germany, review the existing On-Call setup for Canada and advise if revisions are needed.
  • Absence: Create Absence plans to include time offs, time off types, accruals, and leave of absence types for select countries in APAC and EMEA.
  • Compensation/Benefits: Create Benefit and/or Allowance Plans for select countries.
  • Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Reporting: Create a PTO/Annual Leave Payout business process for Terminations.
  • Reporting: Simplify existing core reports and/or develop new reports for payroll related to hires, job and pay changes, one-time payments, bank details, absence, personal and demographic information and terminations. Create reports for Canada On-Call, Germany On-Call, Absence (time off and leave of absence) in select countries in APAC and EMEA, attendance in India (to include time tracking, time off and leave of absence),and benefit/allowance plans.

Project manage the above initiatives to ensure project timelines are met.

Technical/Systems Project Manager for a future global payroll integration project which includes supporting PECI development and testing functionality.

Your Overall Responsibilities Will Be

  • Reviewing Workday processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Documenting business requirements, ensures accurate data gathering and mapping, develops documentation, and configures system.
  • Partnering with the HR team to ensure effective Organizational Change Management for implementation of process changes in Workday.
  • Partnering with the HR team to identify differences between current processes and new processes, ensures appropriate documentation is developed and communicated.
  • Developing and executing project plans and end-user training.
  • Providing training and support for Workday go-live and/or process changes.
  • Participating in bi-annual Workday releases to include testing and implementation.
  • Ensuring Workday processes are reflective of current policies and practices. Make recommendations for process improvements in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Updating Workday configuration as needed to support the Company goals and policy changes.
  • Testing system changes.
  • Creating and updating Workday job aides and training guides.
  • Auditing data and implementing practices to ensure data integrity.
  • Understanding organizational needs and developing reports and/or dashboards to identify key trends. Writing advanced, composite and matrix reports and analyze data for trend reporting and process improvements.
  • Reviewing and analyzing reports for data integrity prior to release to stakeholders.
  • Providing Workday user support to HR and teams globally.
  • Understanding processes and troubleshooting issues and concerns.
  • Participates in other related HR projects.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems or related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for a 4-year degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience required. Minimum 5 years of Workday Core HCM, Reporting, Time Tracking and Absence experience is required, 7 years preferred. Experience in Workday Compensation, Benefits and PECI desired.
  • Must have excellent people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and develop strong working relationships throughout the organization at all levels. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Functional understanding of core HR business terminology, processes, and practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities. Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate online meetings with colleagues in other time zones (i.e., Europe, Asia, and US (eastern time)).
  • Must be able to effectively manage change and support impacted areas of the business. Must be able to train effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
