Job Description:
The Manager - Volunteer Management will own and implement NGO’s short-term volunteer engagement programme in education. The manager will be responsible for piloting and then scaling new initiatives that will engage short-term volunteers for the education of children. The manager will be promoting a strong culture of volunteerism with impact. They will work in collaboration with our volunteer leads, volunteer recruitment, marcoms and other teams towards achieving program and organization goals.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design education initiatives for engaging short-term volunteers in a large scale across our country, monitor and report the outcomes to all relevant stakeholders.
- Build systems, processes, culture, and the team (volunteers and volunteers) to support the programme, focusing on monitoring, Evaluation and learning, continuous improvement, and rapid growth.
- Engage all stakeholders in shaping shared goals, strategies for the programme to maximize impact and reach.
- Provide support to the volunteers to envision the goals for their centers/cities/projects and the required guidance to meet the same
- Lead, coach, nurture employees, volunteer coordinators/leaders into a high- performance team and promote a strong culture of volunteerism and org values.
Educational Qualification/Experience:
- Minimum two years experience in managing a team.
- Teaching, and volunteering experience is a must.
- Excellence in project management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic. objectives, and manage a budget.
- Any Graduate or Postgraduate preferred.
Knowledge and Skill sets required:
- Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team’s collective effort.
- Good influencing skills, people engagement, networking and listening skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members.
- Good computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
- Highly resourceful team player who is self-driven.
- Forward-looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
