Job description
Working in a collaborative manner to satisfy the needs of the project and the internal and external customers is essential.
This position will report to Manager Engineering Analysis and will be based at our Bangalore office
- Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering activities on Project Execution on AM, ETO and CTO contracts, and where applicable New Product Development and improvement initiatives.
- Interpret Customer Specifications on life, performance, and operating conditions
- Work under the technical guidance of the Chief Engineer, Lead Engineer and/ or Snr Mechanical Engineers and others within Engineering.
- Undertake the full range of Engineering analysis tasks under supervision including, but not limited to, finite element analysis including baseplate design analysis, pressure boundary design analysis on valves and filters and other pressure vessels.
- Exposure to Modal analysis of skids, Rotodynamic analysis on turbomachinery, ASME VIII Calcs, Harmonic analysis, Non-linear analysis.
- Exposure to automation in Ansys workbench using Iron python and creating templates for reducing the analysis time and optimise the time Preferred .
- Helping team to achieve project deadlines, delivered with desired quality, cost and efficiency.
- Works to develop functional skills and advanced disciplines of self.
- Help maintain of company standards relating to discipline
- Assist with standardization of products, process, tools, and calculations etc., to reduce time/risk
- Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 3D CAE skills required; Solidworks, Inventor, Ansys Workbench Mechanical and Ansys Space claim
- Demonstrated expertise in Finite Element and Modal analysis at both single component and assembly analysis level. Specific professional experience with Ansys workbench is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as integrity and lifting criteria and operating conditions, safety rules, Design concepts/layouts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to operate equipment and undertake the full range of Mechanical Engineering Design tasks with supervision to support project execution.
- Team working ability and an attitude of collaboration, mentoring and flexibility.
- Willingness and confidence to communicate (written and presentation) with a professional and knowledgeable approach and manner to all levels, including Management, Peers, Shopfloor as well as Customer and Supplier representatives.
- Ability to write and communicate clearly; Technical writing experience preferred but not required
- Mandatory Education and Certification
- B.E in Mechanical Engineering in regular course from recognised university and institute in India
- 4-6 years of relevant using Ansys Workbench alone in FEA preferably in filters, valves and pumps .
- Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to set and hit personal and team deadlines
