**Job Title: Cost Accountant**

**Job Description:**
We are seeking for our client a leading catering company in UAE a highly skilled Cost Accountant with experience in the catering industry . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the systematic recording, analysis, and management of expenses related to producing and delivering catering services. The primary objective is to accurately calculate costs associated with each aspect of the catering operation, enabling informed decision-making to optimize profitability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Ingredient Costs:**
- Track and analyze expenses related to purchasing food items, beverages, and other ingredients used in preparing dishes.
2. **Labour Costs:**
- Record wages, benefits, and other labor-related expenses for chefs, kitchen staff, servers, and other employees involved in catering services.
3. **Overhead Expenses:**
- Account for indirect costs such as rent, utilities, equipment maintenance, and insurance essential for running the catering business.
4. **Inventory Management:**
- Monitor inventory levels, calculate the cost of goods sold, and manage stock to reduce waste and control costs.
5. **Menu Costing:**
- Analyze costs associated with each menu item, considering ingredient prices, portion s, and recipe variations.
6. **Job Costing:**
- Allocate costs to specific events or catering jobs to understand the profitability of individual contracts or projects.
7. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Develop budgets based on historical data and forecast future expenses to set realistic financial targets.
8. **Cost Control and Analysis:**
- Regularly review and analyze cost data to identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, or pricing adjustments.
**Qualifications and Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in the catering industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
