Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Safety Restarint Packaging & Feasibility: To package Restraints components in the vehicle environment.
Airbag Zone study: To map airbag coverage zone Ex. CAB , SAB and KAB
Interface study: To check interface issues. To prepare interface sign-off sheet. Co-ordinating with cross function teams (BIW, Trims, Electrical etc)
CAD capability: Design and drafting in CatiaV5 R21.
Dealing with supplier: Development of Restraints Systems with Supplier.
Follow-up with Supplier for DVP& R and design activities.
Concept genertion: To work out various proposals based on conceptual design.
Pedestrian & Seat Belt Anchorage Zone: To create Pedestrian impact and Seat belt Anchorage zone on vehicle CAD.
Deliverables: BoM creation, Parts number creation. Create drawings for release and Homologation purpose.
Release of design and drawings in Team Center as per gateways 
Prepare and release gateways clearance documents like Lesson learnt , Design Review etc
Plan and conduct DFMEA,DR. prepare DVP.
Concern resolution of Restraints system
Resolution of line build and proto build issues
Weight reduction , cost reduction and Warranty Resolution
Analysing of crash test data and restraint component perfromance

7-8 Yrs (L7M)

Safety Restriants Systems Integration
Crash Safety Performance
Safety Retraint systems Analysis
Crash tests data analysis 

Domain knowledge of Safety Restraints systems design , DVPs
Homologation. Knowledge of interfaces.
Catia V5 (Solid , Surfacing , Assembly and Drafting)
Teamcenter Engineering.
GD&T , Tolerance Stack-up

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

BE-Mech, BE-Auto or Equivalent
