Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for tasks including infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, continuous integration, system administration, and Linux. This is a role located in Kochi, with flexibility for some remote work.

Responsibilities:

● Design, implement, and maintain AWS system and security infrastructure, setup and maintain AWS security groups using terraform.

● Assist with connecting and integrating different systems.

● Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation of infrastructure provisioning tasks.

● Manage and configure infrastructure on AWS cloud platform using services like ALB, EC2, S3, etc.

● Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using ELK, AWS CloudWatch and Zabbix.

● Troubleshoot issues related to system and infrastructure problems.

● Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

● Document processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (Or equivalent work experience)

● Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role in a AWS cloud fast-paced environment.

● Solid understanding of computer networking including routing, load balancing and security group permissions.

● Experience implementing and maintaining SOC 2 and PCI controls in the AWS environment.

● Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible, Terrafor, Shell, or similar.

● Hands-on experience with managing and maintaining cloud AWS infrastructure including AWS Identity Management.

● Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

● Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible for infrastructure automation.

● Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and CircleCI for automating software delivery pipelines.

● Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.

● Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.

● Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

● Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Security, or similar are a plus.

Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or other cloud computing platforms is a plus.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible is preferred.

Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
