Job description
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
As part of the New Product Development (NPD) team, the candidate should be able to perform the following duties as assigned by the manager or leader to support the team’s goals, but they are not limited to the following: o Responsible for understanding the hardware requirements of the system/product. o Undertake conceptual studies by designing & building feasibility prototypes at module or system level. o Work on circuit design, circuit simulations, schematics entry, BOM management, PCB design and layout reviews o Perform necessary hands-on testing at circuit level / module level / product level to evaluate the hardware performance. o Create design and test documentations for the developed designs o Understand the identified technical issues and work on their closures o Work efficiently with hardware, software and mechanical development teams to deliver the assigned task/project with quality within the timelines. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: QUALIFICATION: o BE/Btech/ME/Mtech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical engineering or equivalent o 4 to 8 Years of experience in working with Hardware designs TECHNICAL COMPETENCY: o Strong in fundamentals of Analog and digital electronics o Familiar with the concepts of Microcontrollers / Microprocessors operation and the hardware requirements for designing circuits using them. o Knowledge of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, USB o Know-how on power supply designs: DC- DC converters (Buck/Boost/Fly-back/LDOs) o Tool competency: Circuit simulation tools, Schematic & Layout tools: Altium or similar o Experience in using lab equipment like DMMs, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, Signal generators, LCR meter and Electronic load. ADDITIONAL COMPETENCY/EXPERIENCE: o Exposure to high voltage (1kV) and magnetic component selection/design o Experience in working on products with multi-board architecture is an advantage o Knowledge on cable harness specification creation & its manufacturing process o Awareness of EMI/EMC tests and design for its compliance.Job tags
