Job description
Position: Senior Manager-Solar Modelling
Company: Leading MNC in the Renewable Energy sector
Yrs of Exp: 8-15 yrs
Location: New Delhi
Key skills: Solar modelling, pricing analysis, demand & supply forecasting, statistical analysis and quantitative analysis
Reporting to: VP - Group level
Role:
As the Head, you will report directly to the VP in India and will be responsible for a team of 2-3 motivated members. With your team, you will be responsible for the power market models for India- development, operations, maintenance, improvements etc.
- This includes, but not limited to, short to medium term fundamental models and statistical models for forecasting electricity prices and analytical solutions needed for decision making on various power/electricity instruments and markets, including modeling of the existing/new/anticipated market designs and policy directions.
- Your role will also be responsible for maintaining close coordination with Market Front office, Asset business development teams, Portfolio Management and Risk Management to ensure the development of business ideas, products, and services to achieve sound commercial decisions.
Key accountabilities and expectations of your role includes:
- As a Head, this role is heavily reliant (75%-85%) on hands-on modeling skills and approach.
- Active support to management, especially with deliveries of fundamental price forecasting and energy analytics needs for India based on the use of unique tools and models.
- Tracking and analyzing relevant Regulatory frameworks and incorporating in the analysis space.
- Ownership of the modelling process, improvements, and to provide good quality reports, documents, and presentations to the stake holders and Management.
Your profile:
Demonstrated and strong quantitative modelling skills - extensive application in power/energy markets or energy analytics. Sound understanding of the fundamental market drivers of power and energy space.
