Overview
The Production Planning and Control role is crucial to our organization as it involves coordinating and planning the production process to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery. The position plays a key part in optimizing resources and meeting production targets, thereby impacting the overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demands.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure the availability of resources and materials.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery commitments.
- Analyze production data and reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage inventory levels and ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Utilize ERP systems to track production, inventory, and shipment status.
- Lead and mentor the production planning team to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve productivity.
- Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation discussions to support business growth.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing ERP systems for production planning and inventory control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize production processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in manufacturing operations.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and drive process enhancements.
