Zendesk, a fast growing web-based customer service and engagement software company, is looking for a Data Migration Engineer II to help customers implement their data transformation requirements into and out of Zendesk.
You will work on a small, agile team within the Professional Services technical organization. You need to be a self-starter and be able to balance challenging priorities to bring your projects to completion. Your work will focus on transforming and moving data into and out of Zendesk. This will include data imports, data exports, configuration replications.
You will work on a multi-functional global team consisting of Project Managers and Technical Architects within the Zendesk Professional Services organization. You need to be self-motivated and capable of working on multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities to bring your projects to completion.
In this role, you will become an expert on Zendesk data imports, data exports, java development.
What You'll Be Doing - Support the Professional Services team to ensure accurate completion of platform data services projects
- Help Zendesk customers access their data quickly and efficiently
- Develop Server Side Java Services
- Maintain technical expertise across the Zendesk API & Platform infrastructure capabilities
- Become a domain specialist in Zendesk Platform Data Services
What You Bring To The Role - Strong Data Engineering and Java Development experience
- 4 + years mandatory experience with Java, Python and SQL
- Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and/or Backend integrations
- Experience working on fast paced projects
Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years experience working in professional services or on external paid client projects
- Required Java experience
- Experience delivering high-quality and maintainable code for a variety of contexts
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud applications on AWS platform
- Experience with Database design and Data modeling
- Care for sophisticated, efficient, and maintainable code -- knowledge of when to test, what to test, and how to write testable code
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to engage on several projects concurrently
