Job description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Commercial to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Project Manager must be well versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirement and without exceeding budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Liaise with locals, municipalities, local authorities and regulatory bodies to address challenges if any.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors & other professionals and vendors to coordinate project activities.
- Monitor construction progress and execution quality and address any issues that may arise.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations and on time delivery at site.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
- Supervise the work of laborers and give them guidance as and when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
SKILL SETS & EXPERIENCE - Age : 35 yrs
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management or a related field with minimum of 10 yrs of experience .
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, quality, health & safety standards and project management principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
