Job Description
I. POSITION SUMMARY
To deliver safe, fit for purpose, electrical design to an agreed schedule to meet a pre agreed budget.
The candidate should possess diploma in electrical engineering relevant work experience in electrical design activities for oil and gas projects.
II. NATURE AND SCOPE
Electrical Designer is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for the electrical design. Based on the execution strategy the electrical designer will be responsible for performing electrical design for assigned projects.
III. DIMENSIONS:
- An electrical designer supports the senior Designer on the project and provide necessary support for generating project deliverables as per project execution requirement. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose, electrical design to an agreed schedule.
- Responsible for producing electrical design documents for assigned project.
- Providing support to other AP engineering centers as per requirement.
IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Generate all electrical design deliverables like SLDs, Layouts (Substation/PDC Equipment arrangement, Cable Tray/Trench/Duct bank, Earthing, Heat Tracing, FA/PA/Telephone) and extracting MTOs.
- Provide support to prepare Control Schematics, Interconnection diagrams and Wiring diagrams.
- Prepare As Built Drawings.
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A Diploma in electrical and work experience suitabl.
- Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
- Experience of working with tools like Micro station/AutoCAD.
- Design experience in relevant industries like oil and Gas.
