Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases for our iOS and Android mobile applications. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient release process, delivering high-quality software to our users.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Release Planning:
❖ Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to create and maintain release plans.
❖ Ensure alignment of release timelines with feature development and business objectives.
● Version Control:
❖ Manage version control for iOS and Android applications.
❖ Work closely with development teams to understand and oversee code changes.
● Build and Deployment Management:
❖ Coordinate and oversee the build and deployment process for mobile applications.
❖ Implement and optimize automation in build and deployment pipelines.
● Quality Assurance:
❖ Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of mobile applications.
❖ Implement strategies to identify and address bugs and issues before release.
❖ Communication and Coordination:
❖ Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams involved in the release process.
❖ Keep stakeholders informed about release timelines, changes, and potential impacts. Risk Management:
❖ Identify and assess potential risks to the release schedule.
❖ Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and address issues.
● Documentation:
❖ Maintain comprehensive documentation related to release processes, configurations, and dependencies.
❖ Create release notes and documentation for end-users and internal teams.
● Continuous Improvement:
❖ Analyse release processes and performance for areas of improvement.
❖ Implement best practices and strive for continuous optimization of the release process.
● Regulatory Compliance:
❖ Ensure releases comply with relevant app store guidelines and industry regulations.
● Post-Release Monitoring:
❖ Monitor post-release performance and user feedback.
❖ Address critical issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualification:
● Overall 8+years with 5 years of proven experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
● Strong understanding of version control systems, build and deployment processes, and mobile application development lifecycle.
● Excellent communication and coordination skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
● Experience with automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
● Knowledge of app store guidelines and regulatory compliance for mobile applications. Qualification:
