Job description

JOB SUMMARY

As the Zonal Sales Head in the Banking sector, the role encompasses comprehensive management of sales channels within the GB branches. This includes overseeing distribution operations, administration, and sales activities. The primary responsibility is to guide and empower GB branch sales resource and Branch Sales Managers (BSMs) to assess local market conditions, identify sales opportunities, and nurture their talents to achieve broader sales channel objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise operational systems, processes, and infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization. Proactively identify and mitigate sales, operational, and tactical risks, providing strategic solutions when needed. Manage day-to-day activities within the sales and operations department, balancing responsibilities across multiple business lines, including business analysis, vendor relationships, and risk management. Play a pivotal role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and the implementation of change control processes. Collaborate closely with the Zonal Head, Regional Head, and Heads of Departments on special planning and departmental projects. Oversee and report on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance metrics. Identify trends and opportunities to enhance processes and execution. Support back-office and firm-wide training programs, reinforcing technological and operational infrastructure to maintain consistency and meet quality standards. Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Bank. Share knowledge and best practices with other branches and the Head office, including competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and emerging needs. Promptly address customer and employee satisfaction concerns. Uphold high ethical standards and comply with all relevant regulations and laws. Expand the branch's presence and reputation through networking and innovative marketing initiatives. Stay informed about competing markets and provide reports on market dynamics and penetration. Establish and promote the Bank's brand in the catchment area through creative marketing activities. Ensure that the GB Branch sales channel meets overall product targets for the Bank, including CASA numbers, NTB value, RTD, and other products. Encourage GB branches sales resource and BSMs to foster relationships with individual and corporate customers. Promote a customer-centric approach and strive for customer satisfaction by meeting delivery and service quality standards. Evaluate growth strategies based on competitor analysis and feedback from various channels and customers. Recommend process enhancements to improve service efficiency and quality across the branch network. Facilitate a customer-centric approach and aim to exceed defined targets. Monitor the expansion of the GB branch sales channel network in alignment with the business plan.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS UG: Bachelor's Degree in any Specialization PG: Postgraduate Degree in any Specialization

RELEVANT JOB EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including experience in team management

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Excellent communication and listening skills Strong operational knowledge Confidence and proficient in Presentation skills Ability to analyze and research information effectively
